一、教学内容分析
本节课的教学内容为Module4 unit 11,课文通过谈论What animals run fastest,，进一步学习形容词和副词的最高级构成和运用及一些动
物的单词。同时，继续巩固形容词和副词的比较级的学习和运用。
二、教学对象分析
学生到了五年级下学期，英语的语音知识已经已有一定的积累，单词学习和记忆可以以音标为辅助的工具，轻松达到学习目的。在本课的学习中，通过歌曲、小诗和游戏等环节激发学生学习和巩固形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的兴趣，同时，通过老师的引导使学生掌握本节新授的内容，加上适度的拓展，提高学生运用比较级和最高级去描述事物知识的能力。
三、教学目标
1 语言知识
   1）学习单词：cheetah. Kilometer.leopard
2) 继续学习运用比较级和最高级去描述事物。
2 语言技能
   1），能流利并准确地运用比较级和最高级去描述事物。
   2），能熟读并理解课文，流利地背诵课文。

   1）在学习过程中学会互助、合作。
4 学习策略
1）通过歌曲、小诗和游戏让学生学会复习比较级和最高级的构成
 2）通过多种互助合作形式，让学生熟练掌握课文达到交流的目的。

(一)、leading-in
       1、Sing a song：Four Blue Whales.
2、Chant (P46)
3、Game:击鼓传花，选中并点击课件里号码代表的形容词或副词原级，说出其比较级和最高级的读音和构成。
(二)、 presentation 
1. Show the title and tell the aim of this Unit
T:What are the biggest animals  in the world?
S: Blue whales.
T:What are the biggest animals on land?
S:Elephants.
T:What animals run fastest ?Guess?
S1:….(S2:…..S3:….)
T:Who’s right? Let’s learn the Module4 unit 11 What animals run fastest, you’ll get the correct answer. (板书课题)
2. words learning according the phonic symbols(VCD):  cheetah. Kilometer.leopard 
       3. Learn the dialogue
          1). Watch the video of the dialogue for two times and catch the main idea of it.
          2). Answer the questions:
What is Ben doing?
            Does he think the horse run fastest? Is he right?
            What animals run fastest?
            How fast can a cheetah run?
            What does a cheetah look like?
3) Get the pupils to read the dialogue in different ways.(以小组、大组分角色读或自读、齐读等)

. 一、教学内容分析
   本节课的教学内容为Module4 unit 11的第二课时重点是巩固形容词比较级和最高级的用法并能熟练地运用于实际交际当中,并掌握形容词、副词的比较级、最高级的变化规律（包括规则与不规则变化）。
同时学习一些字母和字母组合的发音规则。
二、教学对象分析
学生在Module 3已经学了形容词比较级，在Unit 10又学习了形容词的最高级。因此，对本节课的内容应该不难掌握。但在学习中老师应该让学生明白形容词最高级与副词最高级的区别。
三、教学目标
1 语言知识
  继续学习运用比较级和最高级去描述事物。如：Who runs 
  Fastest in your class?
2 语言技能
   1）能流利并准确地运用比较级和最高级去描述事物。
 2）在老师的引导下找出形容词、副词比较级、最高级的变化规律。
   3）学习一些字母和字母组合的发音规律，能运用读音规则拼读部分简单的单词。

   1）在学习过程中学会分析、归纳、找规律。
   2）养成善于学习、善于思考的习惯。
